How do you think the government should support renewable energy?

Do you think that you should only play cheerleader? Or do you think I should provide economic incentives for people to invest? The reason I ask is that Republicans are blocking all recent attempts to provide economic incentives for wind and solar energy production, while claiming that support these technologies.

Just play cheerleader. First, the price fuel is its own incentive. Another, no reason to reward people for doing what they should do anyway. If gas were cheap, the government would be paying people to use a more expensive alternative. Although I am a big environmentalist, no sense to waste public revenue by paying people to do the right thing. People should keep if there is an obvious financial reason to do so or not.
